hey friend, it's time to lock in

locked and loaded

bye june, hello july

a lot has happened in the world (and i'm sure in your life) in just 6 months. from political to personal changes —— let's take a moment to reflect on how far we've come. because the power is in knowing there's room to begin again.

let's set the tone for 2026 with my six goal challenge!

six months, six goals

we focus more on setting goals than achieving them. and it's because setting goals can feel overwhelming — especially when you put a date on them. but they don’t have to be.

I’ve always broken my goals into smaller ones to make it feel easier and attainable; but I’ve took it a step further and figured out what mattered in this season of my life and then made my small goals

as mentioned in my last newsletter, I just finished reading “The Lazy Genius” and my favorite takeaway has been the reminder that everything doesn’t have to matter at once

my six month, six goal challenge is to focus on what matters right now, and clean it all up so that I can accomplish bigger goals.that’s the mindset I want us to have while setting goals.

what matters?

before making my six goals, I wrote down what truly matters to me right now. one of those things being, movement.since working from home, my daily steps and general movement has drastically decreased.

the bigger goal is to tone up my arms and legs, but focusing on building the habit of general movement will eventually lead me to that. so these next 6 months, I'll be focusing on movement everyday for 30 minutes.

sometimes goals like "get abs" are not only vague but is how we end up giving up. making a simple goal like walking for 30 minutes, takes the pressure off me and also is easy enough for my lifestyle and can eventually lead to abs (or I can buy em like Drake🤭)

make sure your six goals are attainable and cohesive with what matters. this will help keep you on track.

naming what matters is aligning your needs with your season, no matter what is happening - Kendra Adachi

TRY THIS: write down 3 things that matter to you right now but also play into your bigger goals.

for example: maybe meeting new people matter to you in this season, but also you want to start a business. make a goal to attend a few networking events every month. it's a simpler goal that centers what matters and your bigger goal. now you're meeting new people and potentially business partners and connections.

let's not allow our goals to drain us, but work with us to achieve greatness.

Are Phones Ruining Our Lives? THE THINKER Hate to sound like the elders, but the phones may actually be ruining our lives. As much as we’ve benefited from our nifty little handheld devices, they’ve become such a detriment to many. This has been on my mind for sometime now but a tweet prompted this newsletter. And being that we talk about personal development over here, it was a perfect topic to share, as I'm sure y'all can relate. THEY CLOCKED US ALL We all think we lead the busiest lives and...

Stop Letting Burnout Run Your Life THE THINKER What if I told you, you don’t need a vacation, you need to rewire the systems in your life? Stress and burnout are running our lives because it’s been packaged up as hustle and passion. And trust me, I'm a victim too! But this year I changed the game. It's my “let it be” year. Realizing how much stress and burnout affect the body in ways we can’t see, often in ways we don't notice until it's too late, changed me. Always waiting to the last...
